Product Updates
2024 was a good year for us. Over 66 million documents were generated via our service, and a fair share of those were yours. In addition to that, some of the biggest improvements that should make your life easier were:
1. Adding “testing” parameter to document generation endpoints
sometimes finding the perfect set-up and solution can take time and a fair amount of trial and error. With this addition, we made sure that you can test exactly how much you need without the danger of running into your monthly generation limit.
2. Implementing forms
there are almost infinite ways to leverage our functionality. Regardless of your specific use case, document generation always starts with data. And luckily there is now an additional way to collect the input data — via Our Forms tool. We are looking forward to seeing all the creative and clever ways of using that feature.
3. PDFviewer.com
In 2024, we launched our own open-source project, PDFViewer.com, a lean component for everyone to use. It helps improve the user experience by providing a unified PDF viewing experience without relying on the browser PDF reader, which has a different UI in every browser. It’s a great widget to use, especially when dealing with multi-page PDFs.
4. Additional payment options
we agree, it might not sound like bringing this up as one of the biggest improvements of the year. But let’s be honest, the option to use PayPal as a payment method and the ability to pay for the annual subscription directly from the app makes life easier for both of us. Hopefully, this update will free up some time for you to focus on tasks that actually push your business forward.
5. Getting rid off legacy code
While all these updates are more or less visible to you, then one of our most significant achievements in 2024 happened in the background and probably went unnoticed by you. Every tech company that grows mature enough faces challenges caused by the legacy code. We got there in 2024. Broadly speaking, our codebase was getting outdated and, in some cases, prevented us from building new features that bring new value to our users. We have been working on removing the legacy codebase, it is not 100% completed, but rest assured, we plan to finish what we start. We are incredibly proud of what we achieved in 2024.

Team Updates
In 2024, we also maintained a healthy pace of growth. As the business grows, so does the workload and the need to restructure our team to be more effective. So, we revisited how we allocate the responsibilities within the team to increase focus and onboarded three new members to the team:
Sandamali — Information Security Officer, making sure our security would comply with the industry standards.
Rajiv — Information security specialist, taking care of implementing and actualizing our security policies.
Veiko — Head of Marketing, making sure we talk to our customers in a language they understand.
What to look for in 2025?
That was 2024. What we will do in 2025 is challenging to say. Not because we wouldn’t have noteworthy plans for the years but because we want to avoid overpromising and under-delivering at any cost.
But to still give you a glimpse of what to look out for, here is what we are confident to say:
- Security & Privacy – we will continue our efforts to ensure we comply with the highest security & privacy requirements. As this is one of the most important challenges for our customers, it is also at the top of our priority list.
- We want to expand our approach to document generation and address any pains and needs you might have in three broad categories:
- Document Creation
- Document storage and organisation
- Document Delivery (including review and Approval)
- Given that we are building a solution that should best meet your needs, we would also like to talk more with you to learn about your needs and challenges to create more value. We kindly ask you to make some time to get back to us should we reach out at any point.
But what about you?
As said, this year, we would like to increase the focus on you. How is the PDF Generator API working for you so far? Do you have any ideas or feedback on how to improve the service? We would like to hear all that.
Also, we would really appreciate it if you took a minute to explain your business too us and how we bring value to it. So, reach out and let’s start the conversation.
